Parents and students: You may now access your child’s grades using the parent connect feature of our Aries Gradebook program. Click on the parent portal link on the OUSD homepage. Please contact the school to find out how to log in. We believe that allowing parents and students access to teacher’s gradebooks will be an excellent communication tool for parents, students, and teachers.
Grading scale:
90%-100% = A
80%-89% = B
70%-79% = C
60%-69% = D
59% or lower = F
I use a weighted grading system for English and Social Studies:
English:
45% of grade is based on test/quiz scores
50% of grade is based on class assignments/homework
5% of grade is based on Accelerated Reading nightly reading/goals/points
Social Studies:
45% of grade is based on test/quiz scores
55% of grade is based on class assignments/homework
English Intervention:
Grade is calculated based on total grade points. All assignments and reading is done in class. There is no homework in E/LA Intervention.
